From the recording EP "Le Salon Vert" (mp3 version)
Written during the pandemic, “Watching The Sky For Changes” was first released as a standalone single in 2022, accompanied by an animated music video I created myself in a retro collage style.
For the sake of completeness, the song now returns on this EP in a newly remastered version. It remains my hymn to the connection between two people across time and space.

Lyrics
Watching The Sky For Changes
Lyrics: Mimi Schell
Dashes and speckles and smudges
Brushstrokes from tender to bold
Indigo, persimmon and violet
And marigold
Every new day that is dawning
Is an open canvas with you
Our future history circuit
Refined anew
I'm watching the sky for changes when you're away
(Counting the days and the nights away)
When fluffy clouds make funny faces, I know you're here to stay
If Venus and mars had a daughter
It would be our honeymoon
She'd host us whenever we wanna
Anytime soon
I'm watching the sky for changes when you're away
(Counting the days and the nights away)
When fluffy clouds make funny faces, I know you're here to stay
Hey!
Ahahahah ahahahaha
Ahahahah ahahahaha
I'm watching the sky for changes when you're away
(Counting the days and the nights away)
When fluffy clouds make funny faces, I know you're here to stay
In time we'll be going places, rummaging around
(for the happiness that we persue)
The day we'll go paper chasing, I'll leave you traces
And wait for
I'm watching the sky for changes
Where the wind blows is where we're at home
When fluffy clouds make funny faces
We are never alone
